What development tools and resources are available on the RaQ environment? 

The RaQ2 includes all of the software that developers need to develop and host web sites, including Apache web server, Perl scripting language, and the Linux operating system. Standard development tools include compilers (c, c++, g++), editors (vi, pico, or emacs), debuggers and libraries. If you wish to add additional compilers, editors and development tools and the like, visit Cobalt's Anonymous FTP site: ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/products/raq2/RPMS/.

If you don't find the tools you're looking for, Cobalt asks you to send an e-mail to: support@alwaysonline.net and let them know about it.

How do I install PHP functionality on my RaQ server? 

If you are a RaQ 3, RaQ 4, RaQ XTR, or RaQ 550 client, PHP is already installed. Please consult the appropiate manual for more information: http://www.raqshaq.com/docs.html

If you are a RaQ 2 client, we do not support PHP on your server.

How do I install/enable MySQL, mSQL and/or Postgres SQL? 

There are two versions of mySQL in this directory. Please note that neither of these versions come with any support from Cobalt.

mysql rpms for RaQ2...

• The floating point support is broken. Will try to fix it in the next revision.

• egcs and egcs-c++ are necessary to build the mips rpm. We turn off the enable-assembler configure flag to avoid compiling ia32 code on on mips. See README.egcs for more.
