Cobalt RaQ: Adding Domains to Your Own DNS

This document will explain how to add virtual domains to your Cobalt RaQ microserver that use DNS.

Add the virtual site as you normally would.  After you have completed you must add the DNS records.  Go to   ---> (click on the parameters link like the one below) 

  Domain Name Service (DNS) Server Parameters...

We recommend adding an "A Record" for "www" pointing to the IP address for "domainname.com" so that both "http://domainname.com" and "http://www.domainname.com" will resolve.

If you would like your Cobalt to serve mail for this domain, you must also add a MX (mail exchange) record.  From within the DNS "parameters" page, use the pull-down menu to select "Mail Server (MX) Record."

 

Then, specify in the following menu the settings for your site similar to the example settings we show:
